I think he might just be DJing. He happens to have DJ gigs several times a month. COuld be, dunno for sure.

when i saw a show at social billed this way, it was a 2hr long DJ set. it was cool, but he didnt play a lick . . . not spit. nuthin. even if he comped for just a few with his trax, that would have been outta site. but he didnt when i saw it 2 years ago. set was made up of typical DJ hip disco-esque funky traxx from JB, jackson 5, hip-hop etc . . . some fela for good measure.

who am i to say what he should do. maybe he wants space from being ?estlove the drummer. maybe he IS going to play tonight?

i probably wont go unless i have insomnia and find 20$ in my shoe. i would probably have a good time, though.

He's relatively active as a DJ, so a clinic or something of that sort seems unlikely.
